Supporting New Users is in Our DNA
Dan Beall, Product Manager
Whether you are evaluating Doc-To-Help or have just become a new customer, you will soon discover that the Doc-To-Help team will move mountains to make sure you have the help you need. By policy, those working with trials and those who have just installed Doc-To-Help have access to premium support.
After the initial period, standard support is still free. Doc-To-Help users find that our team members provide fast, personal response. There has never been extra cost associated with support; it is our philosophy that it's our responsibility to make sure you can quickly figure out how to complete your tasks. That is how you decide whether or not Doc-To-Help is for you. Why would we charge you for something that is our job? Also, we are able to learn about your needs by getting involved. So, if you have questions, please, go ahead and ask. And leave your credit card in your wallet.

Ask the Expert

Q: I'm using Doc-To-Help and writing my documents in Microsoft Word. I want to customize my Targets, how do I do that?
A:This is a three part answer - it depends on what you want to do. CUSTOMIZE THE LOOK: To change font styles, text color, line spacing, etc., you need to edit your Target template. See this blog post for complete instructions: Customizing Your Doc-To-Help Targets. CUSTOMIZE THE SKIN: To change the "skin" around your HTML Help (.chm) and NetHelp Targets; |
you can choose a different Theme, or customize your own Theme. See: Customizing with the Theme Designer. CUSTOMIZE THE BEHAVIOR: To change the way certain styles behave within your Targets, you can edit Character Styles, Paragraph Styles, or Topic Types. See: Defining Character/Paragraph Styles and Topic Types. If you have any additional questions on this subject or any others, please email me. Thanks, Nicky |
