Create a Doc-To-Help Project from Existing HTML Help or WinHelp Files
Import Projects

Many people have old HTML Help and WinHelp files that they would like to update or convert into more modern formats. This process can be painful when the original project cannot be found. Sometimes people manually decompile the files, make manual edits, and recompile or they may recreate the entire project from the start.

Doc-To-Help solves this problem with its HTML Help and WinHelp converters. They will take these existing projects and give you a fully functional Doc-To-Help project that you can edit and output to any format you wish. Converters for RoboHelp projects also exist. With these features, previous work will never be lost.

Download Doc-To-Help today to give it a try.

Gustavo Eydelsteyn Say What You Need to Say
Gustavo Eydelsteyn, Co-founder

With the advent of social networking communities many of us, including myself are reinventing our relationship techniques. Not only does it apply to our work lives but it extends into our personal lives as well. Someone once told me that there are so many people using social media outlets, that if you added them all up it would rank not far behind the population of the United States.

So how does each of us make the most out of this new found opportunity to reconnect with a friend, set-up a business meeting, or land a job? Much of it has to do with your individual preferences, but I've found that by being conscientious of the power these outlets have and being willing to get on board with the latest trends that you'd be surprised by how many people you can reach and how fun it can be.

Where else can you find out about the latest article your colleague just read and get pointers on the best Microsoft resources? Social outlets like Twitter, for example, allow for a relaxed atmosphere for sharing the latest news on the fly. It's an excellent way to both absorb and share bits of news. So what are you waiting for? Join in on the fun - I invite you to follow ComponentOne, Doc-To-Help, and SharePoint Web Parts on Twitter. I look forward to staying connected with you.

Q: I see that Doc-To-Help automatically adds a cover page to my print output. How can I customize it?

A: You can use Doc-To-Help's Target Properties dialog box to edit the text and you can also directly edit the Microsoft Word template used to create the manual. Access target properties by clicking the dialog box launcher in the lower left corner of the Target group on the Home tab in Doc-To-Help's Ribbon toolbar. Access the template by using the Target Template drop down also located on the Ribbon toolbar.

I have posted full instructions in our knowledge base.

*If you have a question about technical communication, email me at asktheexpert@doctohelp.com. Thanks, Nicky
