ComponentOne has partnered with Esri®, the leading online map and GIS provider. Get the best mapping tools and UI controls to build compelling line of business applications with ComponentOne Maps for WPF powered by Esri software. The Maps powered by Esri utilize the powerful mapping, geocoding, and geoprocessing capabilities provided by ArcGIS Server.

How to get Started

  1. Download and install Studio for WPF which includes the ArcGIS API for WPF.
  2. Register for a free account on ArcGIS Online to get access to base maps and useful GIS data.

What's included?

With Studio for WPF you are licensed to use the Esri Map control at no extra cost. Access the ArcGIS API for WPF along with the following resources to use in your WPF applications:

  • Maps: Support multiple map projections, dynamic and cached (tiled) map services from ArcGIS Server, and Bing Maps services.
  • Graphics: Enable users to draw graphics on a map or create pop-up windows (MapTips) when users click or hover the mouse pointer.
  • Tasks: Include the following components for common GIS tasks:
    • Querying
    • Locating addresses
    • Finding attributes
    • Identifying features
    • Geoprocessing
    • Geometric operations such as buffers, spatial relationships, and simplification
    • Routing and other network operations

How do Maps powered by Esri compare to C1Maps?

The former ComponentOne Maps for WPF control, C1Maps, will not be discontinued. We plan to continue maintenance and support for the control indefinitely. We do, however, recommend migration to Maps powered by Esri to unlock many more mapping features as listed in the table below. Check out the quick migration guide to help move from C1Maps to Esri maps.
