By learning best practices, tips, and tricks from our certified Doc-To-Help
professionals, you and your team will be creating robust Help systems with
minimal ramp-up time. Whether you author in Microsoft Word, HTML, or
Doc-To-Help's built-in XML-based editor, these hands-on classes, offered in a
classroom or online, will give you the skills you need to become a Doc-To-Help

Training options include:
Doc-To-Help Trainers conduct online training over the course four days,
covering three separate modules: Introductory, Intermediate, and Advanced. You
can take these classes as one package or individually. These classes are
conducted over GoToMeeting and are conducted from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Eastern
Introductory Online Training
The Introductory course lasts two days and will teach you the basics of navigating Doc-To-Help's
interface and show you best practices for creating high-quality Help files, Web
Content, and printed documentation. This course is
designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to be productive with
Doc-To-Help. No prior Doc-To-Help experience is necessary.
Intermediate Online Training
The Intermediate course lasts one day and covers more advanced techniques. Among other things, you will learn template and
style sheet concepts, theme customization, style customization, multimedia
integration, and high level single-sourcing techniques.
Students in this course should have a working knowledge of Doc-To-Help. It
is recommended that you attend the Introductory course first.
Advanced Online Training
The Advanced course lasts one day and covers technical topics for advanced users,
such as creating and maintaining a Modular Help project, Team Authoring Support
fundamentals, and documenting APIs and SDKs with Doc-To-Help's Sandcastle
Plug-in. This course is for power users and it
is recommended that students take the Introductory and Intermediate courses first.

ComponentOne offers training manuals for users who prefer to work at their own pace. These manuals are the same as those used for online training
and include a CD with
supplementary materials. Manuals can be purchased as separate courses or as a bundle.

corresponding Online Training course. They do not need to be purchased
Advance payment is required prior to attending Doc-To-Help training classes.
Payment can be made via credit card or check.
ComponentOne reserves the right to cancel Doc-To-Help
training classes within two business days prior to the
first day of the class. If ComponentOne cancels a class,
advance payments received by ComponentOne will be
refunded in full or applied to a future class as
requested by the registrant.
Registered students who cancel their participation in a class will have the
following cancellation fees applied prior to receiving a refund:
- If canceled 10 or more business days prior to the start of the training
class, no cancellation fees will apply.
- If canceled 3-9 business days prior to the start of the training class,
a 25% cancellation fee will apply.
- If canceled less than 3 business days prior to the start of the
training class, your registration fees can be applied to a future class.
However, your payment will not be refunded.
