The Designbox Window stores all your working Designs organized into shareable Design Palettes. This means that you can drag-n-drop finished, rich content designs directly onto your design surface. And after you made design changes that you like, you simply drag you newly designed control back to the Designbox to store it away for re-use.

The Design Gallery is the Tool Window you've been waiting for! This is a Microsoft Visual Studio add-in (2008 and 2005) that tracks your selected control on your design surface and shows you previews of designs. A single click will apply that design to the control.

Traditionally, when you design controls, you lose the intentions behind your property values and design choices. With Designbox and its design based approach, you capture shareable design specifications that are stored as XML. You author and document designs and design standards that you can manage and reuse in future applications. This also allows you to capture consistent corporate standards and best practices.
